“If you’re not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you’re determined to learn, no one can stop you.” – Zig Ziglar
Spoiler alert, you and I don’t have it all figured out.
Yup. As much as I hate to admit it, there are things I don’t know. And if I am being really honest, there are probably things I just choose NOT to know.
I mean, let’s be real. Learning more about “financial freedom”, means I might have to scale back on the “wants”.
Learning more about nutrition, might mean you and I have to scale back on the ooey, gooey, mouth watering treats.
Learning hard and soft skills to get promoted at work……well that means, we will need to apply the necessary hard and soft skills.
I can’t help but believe I am not alone in my self-proclaimed susceptibility to an “aversion to learning”.
As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.
Ignorance is also what keeps us from achieving all that we are capable of in this life.
And here is the hard truth…..
If your health is failing you, there is probably something you can learn about restoring your health.
If you are broke, there is probably something you can learn about saving and investing.
If you aren’t getting promoted at work, there is probably a hard or soft skill you can learn.
From personal experience I agree with my go-to quote guru, Ziggy.
Those who aren’t willing to learn, can’t be helped.
On the other hand, “if you’re determined to learn, no one can stop you”
What area of your life do you feel stuck?
Where might you be more open minded to learning?
Who might you be able to ask for help?
How will you apply the new information?
